WOW! Where is the summer going?

July 25, 2009

Hello everyone! Greetings in our dear Lord Jesus Christ!! My goodness where is the summer going?? Well, Jacob graduated and several got to attend his party. I unfortunately was not feeling well that day, but never- the- less, it was a nice and memorable day. Thank you Lord!! I got the scrapbook finished in time for graduation, and am so glad!! Thanks again Sherry for the idea. So glad I got to make it for Jacob!! Our two dear priests Fr. Tom and Monsignor Fred got to stop in at Jacob's party as well as lots of other family and friends. Thank you dear friend Brenda for offering to bring a dish if I needed you to. Thank you Jessica for bringing some food. Thanks to all who got to come or sent a card or gift. For those of you who prayed, thank you so much! Thank you to all of you who thought of us! Jacob took his math placement test at IUPUC this past week, and will be going for orientation before long. So Elizabeth has to start school alone this fall. Boo Hoo :(
We shall truly miss Jacob homeschooling this year. Elizabeth is hoping that her friend Abigail can come and homeschool with us some this year. Since Abby is moving to Ohio soon, (hooray!!) perhaps she will be able to?? Sherry?? We shall see. At least hopefully she can spend a few nights with us. Jonathon is still with us as are Gabe and the kids. Lots of happy times. Crowded, you bet!! Frustration, yeah sometimes, but blessings, yes, Praise God!!
My tomato plants are doing so so. The container plants are doing well with several green tomatoes, but this morning I found one on the ground that had blown off of our deck. The plants were completely out of the container and some torn off or smashed. I put them back the best I could. We shall see what lives out of that container. So far I have gotten to can peaches, plum jam, and strawberry jam this season. So thankful!! I would love to do some tomato juice, but will have to see if I get the tomatoes... I would love to hear from all of you!! Sherry are you excited about moving?? Brenda did you get to can any jam??
I have time to write tonight as it is just Mark, Jacob and myself home tonight. Unusual for a usual house of eight. I wish you all a blessed remainder of summer. God bless, Kim
